Hello, I'm Kathryn.
I'm a BA-trained Integrative Psychotherapist and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with its ethical framework.
I'm currently studying for a Master's in Spirituality, Ecology and Mental Health, which reflects my interest in emotional wellbeing, connection, and the wider world.
Rooted in compassion. Growing towards change.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on different approaches to suit your individual needs. My work is grounded in psychodynamic theory, which means we may explore how past experiences shape present thoughts, feelings, relationships, and patterns of behaviour.
Through our work together, we can begin to understand these patterns and create the possibility for greater self-awareness and lasting change.

Hello &
Welcome
I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what feels difficult at your own pace. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I adapt the way I work to what feels most helpful to you.
Therapy is not only for times of difficulty; it can also be a meaningful ongoing investment in yourself, helping you to develop a deeper understanding of who you are, feel more confident in your relationships, and meet life's challenges with greater self-compassion.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, low mood, identity issues, life transitions, or difficulties in relationships. I also support people with disordered eating, grief and bereavement, and the impact of trauma, including childhood sexual abuse (adult survivors), as well as fertility challenges and pregnancy loss.

Online appointments available during the day or evening.
Using the Zoom platform I will conduct your online appointments maintaining the same standard of privacy and confidentiality as I would in personal face to face therapy.
For successful counselling you will need a quiet room in which to talk to me.

Little bit
about me...
Background
I was drawn to therapy through a longstanding interest in how early experiences shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. Over time, this developed into a deeper curiosity about the patterns people repeat in their lives, together with the meanings they make of their emotional experiences.
Alongside my private practice, I have been involved in therapeutic group work with people encountering homelessness. This has deepened my understanding of the impact of trauma, adversity, and social isolation on emotional wellbeing.
I am currently studying for a Master's in Spirituality, Ecology and Mental Health, which reflects my ongoing interest in the relationship between emotional wellbeing and the wider world. I am interested in the potential for therapeutic work to take place both in the consulting room and in natural outdoor settings, where different environments can support reflection and emotional exploration.
